Activate a Family Plan
Essential eSIM information
Before ordering, confirm your phone supports eSIM technology. Not all devices are compatible or support eSIM in Australia, particularly older models. Check your phone settings for "Add eSIM" options or use a local compatibility checker to be sure. To activate your eSIM, you must be able to scan a QR code with your phone. Make sure your device has a working QR camera app, can scan from gallery, or have access to another device (like a computer or tablet) to display the QR code we'll email you. Not sure about eSIM? You can always choose a physical SIM instead, or switch back to one later if eSIM doesn't work for you. Your number and plan remain the same regardless of which SIM type you use.
Important information to note before activating a service
Mobile phones used with an ALDI Mobile SIM should be unlocked and support 4G VoLTE for all calls, including to emergency services. All devices should support ALDI Mobile's network bands and frequencies in order to continue working after the 3G shutdown. Incompatible devices may not connect to the network, however this can be resolved by switching the SIM into a compatible device. Learn more about the 3G shutdown here.
If you are activating a $2 Starter Pack, you’ll need to purchase a Family Plan or PAYG credit by recharging to use your service to make calls, send text and use data within 10 days.
